Dazy Chains is the name of my knitting and crochet project, inspired by the computing term “daisy-chaining”, which is the linking of devices to pass along a signal. The name also references the foundational crochet technique of chaining. Drawing on the deep, intertwined history between textile machinery and early computing, Dazy Chains is a quiet nod to how threads, loops, and code have long been connected. I work with both a single bed knitting machine and by hand, often combining techniques from both.
